I am passionate about supporting individuals who are feeling stuck and are in need of a new perspective. I take a collaborative approach to understanding my clients, exploring the intersections of their identity, and working with them to build meaning, make change, and move towards their goals. My practice starts with building a foundation of safety and trust, upon which therapy can take place. I commonly work at the intersections of neurodivergence, gender diversity, and sexual diversity to support client mental health and wellness. I approach sexual health and wellbeing through a bio-psycho-social lens, aiming to holistically understand and support my clients.
I strive to work with clients to create a space where they feel both: 1. supported and affirmed, and 2. safe to try new things and challenge themselves. My therapeutic style is flexible and dynamic, employing evidence-based strategies tailored to individual needs. I value practicality and a clear direction for therapeutic work, while also creating space for detours and unexpected learning opportunities.
My clinical training and experience have been quite diverse, from trauma treatment in veterans to supporting young children with complex health and developmental needs. With this breadth, I hold strength in thinking outside the box. I use a developmental lens, understanding clients through the experiences across their lifetime. My therapeutic base is cognitive-behavioural (with an emphasis on dialectical behaviour therapy), although I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities informed by clinical research and practice, and most importantly by client feedback (what works and what doesn’t!). I would be privileged to be a part of your journey towards self-understanding, supporting sexual health and wellness, and promoting overall mental health.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy reading, running, being in nature, and finding new ways to feel connected to my community.
