WHAT DOES AN INTAKE COORDINATOR DO, ANYWAYS?
If you have ever done therapy before, or if this is your first time, you know that finding the right therapist can be tough. Just taking the firsts steps to ask for help can take weeks, months, or sometimes years. But even once you finally decide to get help, it can be difficult to find the right person. Some therapists just never get back to you. Some therapists don’t have the hours that you need. Some therapists don’t have the expertise for your specific concern. And still other therapists just might not be the right feel.
Having the right therapist with the right skills and the right schedule is really important in getting better.
At the Tri Health Clinic, we are dedicated to ensuring that our therapist is the right fit for you. In order to connect you with the right therapist, we offer a complimentary phone consultation with a highly skilled, friendly, and non-judgemental Intake Coordinator. In this call, our Intake Coordinator will get a better sense of what it is you are looking for. You will never need to share information that you don’t feel comfortable with, but the more you are willing to share, the better we will be able to find you a match among our therapists.
We aim to schedule a consultation phone call for you within 2 business days, because you’ve already waited long enough.
If you and the Intake Coordinator decide that our clinic is a fit for your needs, you will be provided with resources to help you get started on your healing journey today. That way, even if there is a waitlist (and we are always working to keep our waitlist at a minimum!), you don’t need to wait any more to start getting better.
If we are not a fit for your needs, then we will do our very best to provide you resources or suggestions for your specific concern. We might not always have the answers, but we do our best to help you get started.
THE TRI HEALTH CLINIC IS DELIGHTED TO INTRODUCE OUR NEWEST MEMBER:
DAN TASSONE, INTAKE COORDINATOR
A message from Dan:
I am so excited to join the Tri Health Clinic’s Team! As the Intake Coordinator, I help individuals identify their needs and collaboratively determine whether our services are a good fit for them. I earned my Master’s Degree from Queen’s University and am currently a Doctoral Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s.
I have gained valuable clinical and research experiences in sexual health during my graduate training, including co-developing a transdiagnostic men’s sexual health group. Currently, I am conducting research that explores how various mental skills (e.g., self-control) influence our use of different emotion regulation strategies (including mindfulness).
Outside of work, I like spending time outside, listening to music, and reading.
