MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
I am clinical-scientist. This means that I rely on research to ensure that the treatments I use in therapy work.
In therapy, I listen to what you bring to the table in order to understand what’s going on for you.
I focus on your strengths as much as your challenges in session. I am also a firm believer that you are the expert on your life, so I will work with you to make sure that the approach we use in therapy is tailored to your needs and your goals.
In therapy, I consider myself a teammate.
I’m a little more active than a cheerleader (who’s just smiling from the sidelines). But I’m not the coach who yells which plays to do at halftime.
I work with you to personalize a treatment plan, adjust when things aren’t working, and maybe give you a little nudge in the right direction when you’re feeling stuck.
